Mollie H. Powell, 79, of Martinsville, died March 13, 2005, at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center.
She was born in Russell County on April 15, 1925, to Melvin Hubbard and Clora Perkins Hubbard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Powell; and several sisters and brothers.
She was a retired nurse and a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Martinsville.
Her only survivor is one granddaughter, Trina R. Shelton.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Jyrone Denny presiding.
Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
