Mariah Rachel Harman, 93, of Rt. 618
in Buchanan County, died Nov. 17,1998
in a Grundy hospital following a
long illness.
Born in Russell County, she was
the daughter of the late Melvin and
Coria Perkins Hubbard.
In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband,
Lance L. Harman; three sisters;
five brothers; and one stepdaughter,
Mrs. Tiny Blankenship.
Survivors: stepson, Preston
Harman of Raven; stepdaughters,
Mrs. Nathel Elswick of Raven,
Ruth Owens of Apopka, FL; brother,
Eddie Hubbard of Swords
Creek; sister, Mollie Powell of
Martinsville; 23 step-grandchildren;
several step-great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and
nephews.
The funeral was conducted NOV.
19 at 2 p.m. at the Singleton
Funeral Chapel in Cedar Bluff with
Rev. Dennis White officiating.
Burial followed in the Greenhills
