Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, April 19, 1933. Retired Farmer Expires at Eden. Peter Braun, 80, Resident of County Since Infancy, Dies at His Home. Peter Braun, 80, retired farmer, resident of Eden and vicinity since infancy, died at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday at his home in the village. Born in Washington county he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Braun, pioneer residents of the Town of Eden. On Feb. 3, 1880, he was married to Miss Julia Herbert of New Castle, now Campbellsport, who died May 7, 1914. Mr. Braun retired from the farm two years ago and moved to Eden. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Josie, with whom he resided and Mrs. Floyd Carr and Mrs. Thomas Meade of Eden; five sons, Edward, Nicholas, Martin and George of Eden and Albert of Marshfield; three sisters, Mrs. Martin Herbert, Mrs. August Stenz and Mrs. James Maney of this city and three brothers, Henry, John and William of Eden and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from the residence and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mary's church in Eden. The Rev. George J. Hegemony will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Braun was a member of the Campbellsport branch of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and the Forester's court of Eden.

Funeral rites for Peter Braun, pioneer resident of the Town of Eden, who died Tuesday at his home in the Village of Eden, were held at 9 a.m. today from the residence and at 9:30 from St. Mary's church in that village with the Rev. George J. Hegemony officiating. Burial was at St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were A.H. Many, Edward Bachman, E.J. Saenz, Paul and Oscar Braun and Alfred A. Herbert. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in the village. Those present at the church rites from a distance were Nick, John and Roman Wilkolm, Mrs. J. Kleiner and Mrs. W. harder of Boyd WI, Mr. and Mrs. Math Gonring, Josie and Michael Wilkom, Joseph Straub, John Schrauth, John Stoffel, Paul Grimminger, J.H. Kleinhans, J. Farrell, Emmet Curran and Patrick Murphy of Campbellsport, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Braun of Marshfield, Mrs. John Adams of Marinette and Peter Stenz of Milwaukee.
