Vernie Elnora Jeffs JOHANSEN, 78, Mount Pleasant, died Thursday, December 27, 1984, at Bunce Convalescent Center, Provo.
She was born June 07, 1906, to Martha Jane ZABRISKIE and Ephraim Erastus JEFFS. She married Virgil Guy JOHANSEN, February 18, 1924, at Manti. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died July 01, 1975.
She was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, living there until 1941 when she and her husband moved to Orem. They operated a fruit farm there until 1974, when they moved back to Mount Pleasant. She was an active member of the LDS Church in Mount Pleasant and Orem. She held several positions in the Relief Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. T. J. (Edna) BONE, Pleasant Grove; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jesse JEFFS, Salt Lake City.
Services will be noon Saturday at the LDS Mount Pleasant Stake Center. Friends may call Ursenbach Funeral Home one hour before Services.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery.
