Pauline “Paula” Perez, 74, passed away at her home on Friday, February 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Stamford with Pastor Randy Rawls officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home in Stamford.
Paula was born on March 2, 1940 in Cuero, Texas, the daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Rodriguez) Ramos. Paula moved to Stamford, Jones County in 1954 and remained here the entirety of her life. She married Jose Perez on June 5, 1980 in Anson. Paula had worked for Girling Health Care and Ideal Laundry. Paula’s greatest passion in life was spending time with her children and family, and she also loved worshiping the Lord and attending her church, First Assembly of God Church in Stamford.
Paula was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Acosta; her parents; three brothers, Ernest Ramos, Daniel Ramos, Herman Ramos; and two sisters, Maria Ramos and Petra Castoreno.
Family left to cherish Paula’s memory are her husband, Jose Perez of Stamford; daughters, Mary Helen Martinez, Teresa Acosta, Nancy Charez, Cindy Acosta, all of Stamford, Paula Salinas and husband Daniel of Early, Leslie Acosta of Stephenville, Lupe Munoz and husband Fortino of Comanche, Mary Acosta of Stamford; sons, Freddie Acosta and wife Ortencia of Stamford, Ernest Acosta, Gary Acosta, Norman Acosta, both of Stamford, Richard Acosta and wife Stephanie of Clyde, Chris Acosta and wife Frances of Acosta, Gary Edward Acosta, II and wife Brittney of Haskell, Marco Martinez, Brandon Acosta, both of Stamford; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and one sister, Sophia Carmona of Othello, Washington.
