Services for Lizzie D. Stevenson, 91, Caldwell, who died Monday, Aug. 29 at a Homedale
nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United
Methodist Church, Wilder, by the Rev. Sue Nelson Callie of the United Methodist Church,
Wilder.
Interment will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, under the direction of Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
She was born Jan. 15, 1892, at Cutler, Ill., where she was reared and educated. She
married Bert H. Stevenson on Dec. 21, 1910. They moved to Wilder in 1915, where they
resided until Mr. Stevenson's death in 1948. She later moved to Huntington, Ore., and
resided there for 12 years, when she moved back to Caldwell due to ill health. She had
resided at the Homedale Nursing Home from 1976 until the time of her death. She was a
lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Wilder.
She is survived by two daughters, Norma Stattner of Caldwell and Betty Whitney of
Marysville, Calif.; six sons, Robert Stevenson of Caldwell, Roy and Paul Stevenson of
Madras, Ore., Lee and Jim Stevenson of Huntington, and Willard Stevenson of Dietrich, 59
grand-children, 75 great-grand-children and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters and two sons. (Thanks Dan Fowler)
