My Great-Uncle Bill was a cowboy! Yes and he had the saddle to prove it!
Bill married Alcea Nelson on 11 September 1914. They have one daughter, Thelma.
Uncle Bill and Auntie Sis, as we called them, lived near Pearl Harbor during the attack on December 7th 1941. If was a frightening time for all.
The things I remember about my Great-Uncle Bill are:
his saddle in the garage and the big box of marbles he kept which we were allowed to browse through and choose a few to take home on each visit!
As a young child I never realized that Great-Uncle Bill had been born in the late 1800's! I marvel at that now.....
