Obituary of Charles Cecil Lowe

Father of Two Area Women Dies

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Mason City for Charles C. Lowe, 80, who died Monday,[May 18, 1970] at his home in Mason City. He was the father of Mrs. Darrell [Delma] Huntley of Estherville and Mrs. Thomas [Thelma] Johnson of Wallingford.

Lowe was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, who died in 1916. Their four children are among his survivors. Besides Mrs. Huntley and Mrs. Thomas [Johnson] there are two sons, Harley Lowe of Mason City and Charles Lowe of Waterloo.

Lowe was married in 1918 to Cleo Ansbaugh and their three sons and four daughters survive. They are Donald, Roland and J. C. Lowe of Mason City, Mrs James [Bessie] Tiesher of Sunnymead, Calif., Mrs. Jessie [Verna] Angel of Mason City.

Also surviving are 34 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at Patterson and James Funeral home at Mason City with Rev. Andrew Olson of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Manley cemetery.

Pallbearers werre Mike Julsen, Ray Overbeck, Clifford Overbeck, Harold Lane, George Stepleton, and Oscar Davis.
