Wallingford – Services for Thelma Bailey, 76, of Wallingford, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church at Graettinger with Pastor Wilbur Holz officiating. Interment will be in High Lake Cemetery, Wallingford. She died Friday, Jan. 1, 1993, at Palo Alto county Hospital, Emmetsburg.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger after 4 p.m. Monday.

She was born Aug. 11, 1916 at Whitten, the daughter of Charles and Edith (Paris) Lowe and attended Emmet County Schools. On Aug. 23, 1933 [she married Thomas Johnson] in Wallingford, he died in 1969. On June 17, 1977 she married Harold Bailey at Jackson, Minn. She lived most of her life in Emmet County; was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church; VFW Auxiliary, Estherville and a member of Birthday Club.

Survivors include her husband, Harold (Pete) Bailey, Wallingford; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Donna) Kunz, Wallingford; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers: Charles Lowe, Waterloo; J.C. Lowe and Donald Lowe, Mason City; sisters: Verna Angle and Gladys Whitehurst, Mason City and Freida Rezac, Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband; two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 4, 1993)
