Wilma was a homemaker and had worked at Payless Cashways Lumber Company. She had been a member of Women of the Moose. She was an avid outdoors person.
She was married to Raymond Petesch in July, 1952, and later divorced. She married William R. “Bill” Adams, in 1976. He preceded her in death in December, 2014.
Surviving are two daughters: RaeAnn Petesch-Wagner (Marc Wagner) of Las Vegas, NV and Tina Burns (David) of Olathe, KS; three grandchildren: Duston Burns (Julie) of Kansas City, MO, Dillon Burns of Kansas City, MO, and Tiara Burns of Olathe, KS; siblings: Dale Casto of Topeka, KS and Darlene van Pykeren of Lincoln, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Committal services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th & Menoken Road, Topeka. In honor of Wilma, please wear her favorite color, pink.
Wilma will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Monday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
