OBITUARY; THE COMMERCIAL ADVERTISER, RED CLOUD, NEBRASKA, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1932 - GUY VAN ORNAM LAID AT REST SUNDAY -Guy D. Van Ornam, who departed this life on the 4th of February was laid to rest in the local cemetery on Sunday, Rev. G. C. Robbertson conducting the funeral services from the Burr, Turner, Elis funeral home at 2:30. Interment was made in the city cemetery. Guy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Van Ornam, was born September 15, 1882, in Jewell County, Kansas and departed this life on Friday at the age of 49 years, 4 months and 20 days, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Culley at Mitchell, this state. He was a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. H. Ludlow of this City, he having been married to Bertha Helen Baker at Kansas City, Missouri on November 5, 1902, and to this union were born three children, Russell Van Ornam of Bear Oak, Wyoming; Mrs. Kenneth Culley of Mitchell and Leland Van Ornam, who departed this life on April 10, 1930. Mrs. Van Ornam preceded her husband in death, having passed away on December 7, 1918. He leaves to mourn one son and one daughter; a grandson, Jackie Culley; two brothers, R. L. Van Ornam of Bostwick; three sisters, Mrs. George Kean of Kansas City; Mrs. E. M. Dodd of Bigelow, Kansas and Mrs. B. F. Heer of Superior, besides other relatives and a host of friends.
