Only by the will of God we were able to find her, William & their parents. We were able to connect them all, between census records and a book: "Seven Generations of the descendants of Aquila and Thomas Chase".

Ellen is a daughter and seventh child of ten children, born to Joseph Chase Jr. (1787-1866) and his first wife, Sabra Louise (Wheeler) Chase. Ellen has an additional seven siblings from her father's second marriage to Alphia (Bartlett) Jackson-Chase. So Ellen has a total of seventeen siblings. Ellen first married John Quincy Adams Pratt in Sept. 1848 in Maine. Ellen and John have two sons, Charles T. & Edward Q. John died in 1851. She remarried to Richard Dale Moore in 1869 in Wisconsin. Richard must have died before June 1880, because she is recorded on the 1880 census as a widow and blind. Her brother William must have loved her dearly, because she is in his household up to his death in 1907. In May of 1910 she is in the household of William's wife and her sister-in-law, Susan Elizabeth (Newcomb) Chase. Ellen died sometime in 1911 in Wisconsin. As you can see below she is buried in the Poy Sippi Cemetery in Wisconsin. Ellen is a fraternal 2nd Great Grandaunt to my husband.
