Jennings B. Zimmerman of Bedford Route 3 died Monday, April 3, in Lewis Gale Hospital in Roanoke at the age of 75. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Basham Zimmerman. Born in Bedford County, he was a son of John L. Zimmerman and Virginia Updike Zimmerman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, J. Bryan Zimmerman Jr. of Vinton; two brothers, Sidney M. Zimmerman of Roanoke and Hubert T. Zimmerman of Lynchburg; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Leftwich and Mrs. Tommy P. Overstreet of Bedford, and Mrs. Clarence L. Coleman of Lynchburg and three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 6, in Carder Funeral Chapel by the Revs.; R. B. Moore and D. L. Kincaid. Burial was in the family cemetery.
