RECENT DEATHS.
Mrs. Emeline Denison
Newell died at the home of her daugh
ter in this place, Mrs. Henry Ely, on
Friday, after an illness of several
months. Mrs. Newell was the widow
of the late Dr. Selim Newell, and the
family removed from Lyndon to this
place over thirty years ago. Although
never very robust, Mrs. Newell had
been fairly well until the past season,
when a hemorrhage reduced her
strength and she never fully rallied.
She leaves six children Drs. Henry
C. and Charles D. Newell of this town,
Mrs. Henry Ely and Miss Etta Newell,
also of this place, Mrs. Geo. II. Brad
ford of Sherbrooke and Mrs. Robert
McKinnon of Minneapolis. Her sec
ond son, George, died suddenly at Lyndon
more than thirty years ago.
