Zula Wilcox Holm, 93, of Idaho Falls, a longtime Roberts resident, died February 8, 1994, at her home.
She was born May 22, 1900 at Antimony, Utah, to John Elbert and Helen Mar McCullough Wilcox. She lived in Logan, Utah, for three years before moving to Fairview and Sunnydell. She attended Sunnydell and Archer Elementary schools, and lived in Rexburg for four years.
On June 7, 1922, she married Carl Paul Holm in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were early homesteaders in the Roberts area, where they lived for 60 years, and moved to Idaho Falls nine years ago. She was an elementary school teacher and homemaker. Her husband died Jan. 1, 1991.
Active in the LDS Church, she served in the Young Women's program for 25 years, and she and her husband served a mission in New Zealand from 1969 to 1971. She was known in eastern Idaho for her dramatic and humorous readings. She was a naturalist and genealogist. Her hobbies were gardening, oil painting, tatting, and studying great literary works.
Survivors include her children [names deleted]; 30 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Roberts LDS Stake Center with Bishop Gary Harris presiding and Eric M. Adams officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Idaho Falls, and Saturday for one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
