Othella Mae Gibson Mayne, age 81, of Bryants Store, Kentucky was born on May 5, 1933 at Hubbs Creek in Knox County, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late William Jennings Gibson and Allie Frances Logan Gibson. Othella died at the home of her daughter at Bryants Store on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.

She was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a retired Nurses Aid. In 1954, Othella united in marriage to Stanley Miller and to this union five children were born. In the year of 1978, she united in marriage to John W. Cox who preceded her in death. In the year of 1987, she united in marriage to Wadie L. Mayne who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death along with her parents; by a step-son, Wayne Cox; two sisters, Jewell Gibson and Edith Gibson; and by her four brothers, Joe Gibson, Fred Gibson, Roy Gibson and Ernest Gibson.

Othella is survived by her beloved children: Herbert Miller of Bryants Store; Pat Miller and wife, Rosemary of Corbin; Charlie Miller and wife, Sue of Bailey Switch; Beverly Sue Golden and husband, Virgil of Bryants Store; and Lynn McQueen and husband, Frank of Bryants Store. Her step-children: Johnny Cox, Bobby Cox, Patty Wilson and Kenny Cox. Her dear friend and Companion; Clarence Chappell. Her sister: Vontella Girdner of Barbourville. Her brothers: J.B. Gibson and wife, Paula of Cleves, Ohio; and Dennis Gibson of Bryants Store. Her six grandchildren: Charlie Golden of Bryants Store; Ginger Smith and husband, Brandon of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; Celina Evans and husband, Jarrod of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Stewart P. Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio; Natasha Smith and husband, Eric of Barbourville; and Katrina Eaton and husband, Michael of Bryants Store. Her three great grandchildren; Prestyn Eaton, Chloe Eaton and Isaac Smith. Her thirteen step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Othella Mae Gibson Mayne will be conducted on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tommy Frazier, Rev. Sylvester Dunn and Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Nancy Bain Cemetery at Hubbs Creek in Knox County. Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Charlie Golden, Stewart Miller, Brandon Smith, Eric Smith, Michael Eaton and Jonathan Hammons. Those Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. Raju Vora, Dr. James West, The ICU Staff at the Knox County Hospital, and The Staff of the Knox County Home Health.

Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2014 after 6:00 pm., and on Saturday after 9:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.
