Mr. William Fred Gibson, age 66, of Mackey Bend was born on December 25, 1934 and departed this life on Thursday, April 19, 2011 at his home. He was the son of William J. Gibson and Allie (Logan) Gibson and the widower of the late Bessie (Evans) Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a member of the North Main Street Pentecostal Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents, William J. and Allie Gibson; his wife Bessie Gibson; one sister, Edith Gibson; three brothers, Joe Gibson, Roy Gibson, and Earnest Gibson; and a special friend.

Funeral services for Mr. Gibson were conducted on Sunday, April 22, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel where the Rev. Tommy Frazier, the Rev. Sylvester Dunn and the Rev. Flynn Sexton officiated. Mr. Gibson was laid to rest in the Evans Cemetery at Kingtown.
Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
