The date of death for Antonie is unknown, only that she died between Dec 6, 1874 (when the "Braunschweig" ship manifest shows that she arrived at Baltimore, Maryland with her husband Tomas and five children), and Jun 28, 1880 (when Tomas is shown on the 1880 Federal Census as "widowed"). Family history says that she fell off the stairs at their home SE of Table Rock, and broke her neck. Tragically, Tomas died on Dec. 3, 1903 in a house fire, where he was living with his son Tomas and family, rural Table Rock, Nebraska. Places of burial for both Antonie and Tomas are unknown; family history says they are buried in the Dry Branch Cemetery, rural Humboldt, Nebraska, but there are no records and no marked graves.
