Russel Earl Gingell age 81, of Myton, PASSED away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014. He married Ila Rhae McConkie. Russel was born to JOSEPH Earl and Eva Cope Gingell on September 16, 1933, in Myton. Known to many as "Coach", Russel was a great influence on those who played for him throughout thirty-five years of coaching basketball and baseball. Hard work was a staple of his life, rivaled only perhaps by his love of family and his sense of humor. Many of his grandchildren remember being affectionately called "George". He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ila Rhae Gingell, and their fourteen children: Don (Cheryl), Lila McShee (John), Arlene Jones (Charlie), Lorrie Mainord (Robert), Shari, Becky Jamison (Paul), Danna Blocker (David), Reed (Donna), Wayne (Cindy), Stephen (Naomi), BRADLEY, Benjamin (Jennifer), Jennifer Hansen (Chet) and Alisa Reynolds (Nathan). He is also survived by 57 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4 at 11:00 AM at the Myton 2nd Ward LDS chapel. A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 3 at Hullinger Mortuary 6:00-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Myton Cemetery.
