HOGAN, SISTER MARY COLUMBA (Mary Monica Cecilia), a member of the Ursuline Religious of Chatham, Ontario entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Villa Angela in Chatham. She entered the Ursuline Community in 1936 and during those years she served the Ursuline Community as a teacher in Woodslee, Dublin, Windsor and Bradford. For many years while she resided at The Pines and Villa Angela, Sister Mary Columba served through her ministry of prayer and presence, showing a great concern for her community members. Sister was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, in 1918, the daughter of the late Enos William and Senja (Ristanen) Hogan.

She is survived by one sister Pat Schiebel and a few nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by siblings Francis, Joseph, Andrew, Gordon, Phoebe Hogan, Lillian Wicheruk, Leo, Bill, Barney, Margaret Lillian, Muriel Overend, Doreen Durocher, Senja Faber, Arthur and Josephine Vaudrin. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham.

Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sister Mary Columba may be made to "Chatham Ursuline Charities" or to the charity of your choice.
