Hays -- Lydia Otilla Brull, 86, died May 11 at the Good Samaritan Home Center in Hays. She was born Feb. 8, 1919, in Catherine, the daughter of Jacob A. and Elizabeth (Staab) Schmidt.

She married Alfred Brull. He died Sept. 16, 2002. She was a homemaker. Brull was an Eagles member.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Brull of Hays; one daughter, Gloria Kennedy of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, James of Harlingen, Texas, and Harold of Topeka; three sisters, Helen Brodecker of Topeka, Anita Stang of Great Bend and Dora Lee Robertson of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Visitation will be today from 4-7 p.m. Parish service will be at 6 p.m. at the Hays Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
