Mrs. August H. Lehner, nee Caroline Hoberg, 89, whose home was on School Street, Chilton, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lehner at Kiel Friday. She had been in failing health for the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lehner are her son and daughter-in-law.

Funeral services were held at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, the Rev. W. J. Griffith, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.

Mrs. Lehner was born in Nykoppa, Varnland, Sweden, Oct. 21, 1867. She had made her home in Chilton since 1903. She was united in marriage June 4, 1897 to August Lehner at Florence, Wis. Her husband died in 1943. Preceding her in death also was a daughter, Lillian, in 1932.

She is survived by three sons, Earl of Kiel, Lester of Chilton, and Carl of Dinuba, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
