Rites for August H. Lehner, who passed away at Oconto Friday, April 30, were held at the Pfeffer Funeral home here Sunday afternoon. The Rev. E. L. Hennig, pastor of Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed church officiated and burial was made in Hillside cemetery.

Mr. Lehner was born in the town of Chilton May 18, 1867. His parents were the late Math and Rosina Lehner. He spent his boyhood on his father’s farm, and in his early manhood he attended the Oshkosh Normal school. He taught school for several years and later entered the lumber business.
He was united in marriage June 4, 1897, with Caroline Hoberg at Florence, Wis.

He is survived by his widow, three sons, Lester of Chilton, Earl of Kiel, and Carl of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; a brother, George of California; and a sister, Mrs. G. O. Pingel, Fond du Lac. A daughter Lillian died in 1932.
