Esmeralda Herald, 10/12/1878:

DIED. CHAMBERLIN (sic) – At Aurora, October 10, 1878, Juliet Cooley, wife of D. S. Chamberlin (sic), aged 20 years and 10 mos.

Esmeralda Herald, 10/12/1878:

A Sad Affliction. Last Thursday morning the wife of our fellow-townsman, D. S. Chamberlin (sic), passed away from this earth to a brighter and better home in the Great Beyond. Her funeral took place yesterday, and was largely attended. Mrs. Chamberlin (sic) was ill but a very few days, and was, at the time of her death, a perfect type of womanhood, and a picture of health and beauty. She leaves one three-year-old child and a loving husband to mourn the sudden taking off of a kind mother and a loving, gentle wife. In his sad bereavement the husband has the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
