Mrs. Nettie Ward, 81, a Utah pioneer, died Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at a local hospital from general debility.
She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, September 8, 1850, and came to Utah 74 years ago.
Mrs. Ward was the widow of A. P. Ward, and resided at 17 West Seventh South street.
She is survived by a son, Wellington Vanderhoof, and a daughter, Mrs. Nettie Harvey, both of Salt Lake; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Douglas, New York City, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Penny Judd, Declo, Idaho, and Mrs. Edith Jefferies, Grantsville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

WARD - Funeral services for Nettie Ward, 17 West Seventh South street, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the rose room of the Deseret mortuary. Elder John M. Knight officiating. Mrs. Ward may be viewed at the mortuary prior to services. Interment Mt. Olivet cemetery under direction of the Deseret mortuary.
