Dwight J. Griffith, 58, died at 12:30 AM today [Saturday, June 1, 1974] in Lafayette Home Hospital, following an extended illness. Born at Latham, TN, he had lived in Tennessee until moving to Lafayette 20 years ago. In 1960, he married Donna J. Hilt, who survives. Mr. Griffith was a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Jane (Mrs. Paul) Hepner of Albuquerque, NM, and Becky (Mrs. Charles) Leader of New Richmond; one son, Ronnie Griffith of Lafayette; two sisters, Zola (Mrs. Phillip) Harding of Puryear, TN, and Mrs. Hattie Daniel of Palmersville, TN; five brothers, Basil Griffith of Palmersville, TN, Finis Griffith of Murray, KY, Euclid Griffith of Marysville, MI, Lance Griffith of Warren, MI, and Jewel Griffith of Troy, MI; and five grandchildren.
