Ronnie J. Griffith, 54, died at 8:48 AM Friday, Jan. 25, 1996, St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, following ill-health since May. Born Sept. 23, 1941, at Martin, IN, he was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson High School, and had lived most of his life in Lafayette. He married Margaret S. Cline on May 6, 1990, at Las Vegas, NV; she survives.

Mr. Griffith had been a pipefitter at Indiana Gas since 1966, and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1393. He served in the Army from 1960 to 1963, during the Vietnam War. He attended Greenbush Street Baptist Church, and was a former member of American Legion Post 492 in West Lafayette. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Steven J. Klinker; a daughter, Tamera Nelson; two stepsons, Charles "Eddy" Barry and Melvin Barry, all of Lafayette; two stepdaughters, Shandon Weaver of West Point and Carolyn "Susie" Worthan of Romney; his mother, Nina (Mrs. William) Hall of Lafayette; three sisters, Jane (Mrs. Jay) Tidmore of Albuquerque, NM, Becky (Mrs. Dave) Stephens of Crawfordsville, and Kim (Mrs. Matt) Arnett of Lafayette; and eleven grandchildren.
