I have been a family history and cemetery lover since childhood. I work at the Tippecanoe County Historical Association, and we have been working for years to add all known burials in Tippecanoe County to findagrave.com, using cemetery records, obituaries, DAR walk-throughs and other resources. I've collected thousands of obituaries from old newspapers (1830-1904) and I was posting them on memorials until findagrave removed them all without warning or explanation. These are extant papers in our collection, and many have never been digitized, and none are available online. If you have an ancestor buried in Tippecanoe County (1830-1904), I might have an obituary. Please ask.
When you send me an edit, please include the source of your information using the "suggest any other correction or addition" link. I usually decline edits which don't include a source. I've had to clean up too many messes after accepting names, dates and relationship links that were incorrect. I don't link to memorials without a burial location. Please find the burial location before creating a memorial. That's what this website is about.
I do appreciate it when you add tombstone photos to my memorials. I know there are mistakes in cemetery records, and photos help to correct them. When you add a photo, if you see a discrepancy, please send me an edit so I can correct it.
Be nice to each other. What goes around comes around.
