Death of Mrs. S.R. Talley
Mrs S.R. Talley died Monday at 12 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.W. Sherman, at Penton. She was nearly 80 years old and had lived a Christian useful life. She leaves a husband, S.R. Talley, one daughter, and five sons to mourn her death - Mrs. John Sherman, Messrs, Claude and John Talley, of Penton, C.S. and B.H. Talley, of La Fayette and Tom Talley, of Lanett. She was buried Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, funeral services conducted by Rev. Binsfield, pastor of the church at Penton. She was laid to rest in the cemetery at Penton. She lived a beautiful Christian life, always abounding in the work of the Lord. It could be said of her, like Dorcas of old, this woman was full of good works amd alms deeds, which she did.
