Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Van Dyke-Duven Funeral Home here, and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Vander Waal was a lifelong resident of the Pella area and formerly farmed in rural Pella. Survivors include his wife, Artie; and a daughter, Elva Doorenbos of Pella.
