Aleida Brouwer-Aleida Brouwer, 98, of Monroe died of a heart ailment Thursday at Embassy Manor Care Center, where she was a resident for seven years. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Otley Reformed Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Pella.

Mrs. Brouwer , a homemaker, was born in the Netherlands and lived in Marion and Jasper Counties most of her life.

She is survived by three daughters, Gertrude Willemsen and Martha Willemsen, both of Pella and Henrietta Vander Velden of Newton,; five sons, Arnold of Monroe, Allen of Prairie City, John of Pella, Garrett of Alma, Ark., and Wilfred of Urbandale; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Garden Chapel Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Pella Christian Opportunity Center.
