Keith enlisted in the Army at Camp Dodge, Herrold, IA on 14 June 1943. After completion of basic training and jump school Pvt Roush was shipped to England. He was subsequently transferred from Field Force Replacement Depot #8 to Company G, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment on 5 April 1944.

Pvt Roush jumped into Normandy on D-Day, 6 June 1944 and was slightly wounded in action on 22 June 1944. He rejoined the company on 19 August.

He then participated in the Holland jump where he was listed as seriously wounded in action on 17 September 1944 but was able to again rejoin his company on 23 November 1944.

Unfortunately, Pfc Roush was killed in action during the Battle of The Bulge on 27 December 1944.

Also buried in this cemetery is his sister Hazel J. "Jeannie" Roush (FAG #130437542)
