Ronald Evens, 29, U.S. Air Force was killed Friday, August 9th, in a plane crash in Turkey, that took the lives of six other Americans.

Ronald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Evens, Albany, and joined the Corps from this community at the age of 17, twelve years ago. A staff sergeant with the Air Force medical team, he was making the Air Force his career.

He had been in Turkey with his wife for the past two and one-half months. He had been transferred to the mid-east country after being stationed in Germany for several years.

Mrs. Evens, the former Diane Sweet of Spokane, Washington, arrived in the Twin Cities Tuesday evening enroute to Spokane where funeral services will be held. Date of the services have not been announced.

The couple had been married for seven years.

Surviving beside the wife and father and mother of Albany are the following brothers and sister: Jerome, Albany; Marcellus, Lee and Al, St. Cloud; Stanley and Sylvester (Toby) in Alaska; and Mrs. Graydon (Viola) Baggenstoss, Albany.
