Services were held Thursday, Oct. 15 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church for Jerome Evens, 75, Albany, who died Monday, Oct. 12 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Jerome Evens was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Farming to John and Louise (Klassen) Evens. He married Theresa Ludwig on May 6, 1950, in Albany. He was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Society. He also was a member of American Veterans (AMVETS) and was a previous commander and lifetime member of Albany American Legion Post 482. He was a member of Red Wing Collectors Society.

Survivors include his wife; children, Joan Jackson of Albuquerque, NM, Pat Meelberg of Sevierville, Tenn., Jane Simbeck of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Jack of Albany; nine grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Mark and Al of St. Cloud, Lee of Torrance, Calif., and Viola Baggenstoss of Albany.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Stan, Sylvester "Toby" and Ron.

Memorials are preferred to Holy Family School Endowment Fund.

Arrangements were by the Brenny Funeral Home of Albany.
