Rose Bloone (sic) Jones, 85, of 2165 Ferndale Terrace, Ferndale, died Monday in Bellingham.
Mrs. Jones was born Feb 5, 1900 in Newark, MO, and had been a Whatcom County resident since 1936. She was married to James Lloyd Jones, who preceded her in death. She was active in the Ferndale Senior Center, the North Bellingham Orthopedic Guild and worked at Pynor's Store in North Bellingham for 29 years.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara Behnke of Ferndale; two sisters; a sister-in-law Claribelle Jones of Bellingham; four grandchildren, including Michael Behnke and Nancy Stull of Custer and Lori Steinbech of Ferndale; and great-grandson Austin Behnke of Bellingham.
Graveside services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggests that there be no memorials.
