FUNERAL HELD FOR STEFFENVILLE MAN
Funeral services for James Boone, who died at his home near Steffenville Tuesday of last week, were held at the late home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. F. M. Branic. Interment was at Newark.
Mr. Boone was born in Washington, Pa., Nov. 20, 1840 (sic), thus being past 76 years of age at the time of his death. At an early age he came to Missouri with his father and settled at Newark. He had spent the remainder of his life in the Newark and Steffenville communities. Jan. 14, 1880, he was married to Miss Nan Plunkett and to this union nine children were born, seven of whom survive. The mother and two daughters died some years ago. Those who survive are: Mrs. Leonard Bergman and Mrs. Lee Corbin of Newark, Mrs. Lloyd Jones of Nelsonville; Mrs. Roy Franks, Everett, Edith and Flossie, all of Steffenville. He also leaves four sisters and two grandchildren.
