Beatrice Coe Turner, 90, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Modern Care Convalescent Facility in Jacksonville. She was born Jan. 3, 1916, in Jamestown, Ky., the daughter of James E. and Louisa Toler Coe. She married Everett M. Turner Sr. in 1938; he died in 1978. She also was preceded in death by a son, John. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker. She worked at the Blackhawk Restaurant in the 1970s and had operated Wishing Well Antiques in Jacksonville and Turner Grocery in Nortonville. She was a member of East Union Baptist Church in Murrayville. Survivors: five sons, James Archie (wife, Sarah) Turner, Everett M. Turner Jr. and Travis Baptist, all of Jacksonville, and Harold E. (wife, Mary) Turner and Marvin R. (wife, Phyllis) Turner, both of Lynnville; six daughters, Evalee (husband, Willard) Bohlmann of Rushville, Paulette Irene Schley of Jerseyville, Eleanor (husband, Jerry) Jumper of Woodson, Martha (husband, Lyndell) Phillips of Murrayville, Mary (husband, Hugh) Jumper of Springfield and Coe Ann (husband, Jerry Sr.) Churchill of Jacksonville; 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Williamson Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial: Ebenezer Cemetery, north of Jacksonville.
