He was born in Wayne County Kentucky Feb 4 1884 and was the son of Samuel and Sarah Shelton Coe
He was united in marrriage with Lola Toler and to this union the following children were bor Mrs. Jewel Johnson and Samuel T. Coe both of Jacksonville Mrs Coe died in 1913
He later married Louisa Toler and to this union Mrs. Beatrice Turner of Murrayville Bishop Coe Carl Coe and Mrs.KathrynPreston all of Jacksonville were born Mrs. Coe died in 1926 In 1952 he was united in marriage to Ruby Millard who surives
One brother John Coe survives and lives in Russell Springs Ky. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild
During most of his life he was a farmer in and around Morgan County. Coe served as Merchant patrolman from 1946 to 1950. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Williamson Funeralhome with Rev.Henry Spencer officiating Interment will be made in the Ebenezer cemetery.
Familywill be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
