ALTON - Mary Bonan Balen, 79 died at 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, 1994, at St. Clare's Hospital in Alton.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of Alton.
Born, Aug. 28, 1914, in Taylor Springs, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Martinelli) Bonan.
Her husband, Edward V. Balen, died Feb. 13, 1986.
Surviving are two sisters. Angelina Mores of Taylorville and Irene Fath of Springfield.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Shirely A. Gaddis, and four sisters, Vera Bellaver, Cecelia Kellerhouse, Josephine Vallorz and Emma Bonan.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until service time at 11 a.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. The Rev. Craig MacMahon will officiate.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
