Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Allan W. Deischer was born June 15, 1916, in Monticello. He was the son of Harold and Olive (Cramer) Deischer. Allan lived on farms in Castle Grove, Scotch Grove and Wyoming and was later cared for by Velma Kleineck. Allan was an avid fan of old-time radio, Leo Greco, checkers and Iowa football. He had a toy collection that is on display at the Wyoming Historical Society.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, John Eichhorn of Wyoming, two nieces, four nephews, eight great-nieces and nephews, two great-great nieces and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Margaret Olive (Deischer) Eichhorn and a great-nephew.
