Edington - On April 12, 1863, in the town of Koleen, there was born to Thomas and Ursula Edington a son Leonard Edington, who died on April 19, 1938, at the age of seventy-five years and seven days.

The deceased spent most of his life at Koleen, where he was a farmer.

He married March 5, 1885 to Martha Williams. To this happy union were born five children three sons one of whom died in infancy and two daughters.

He obeyed the gospel early in life and was at the time of his death a member of the church of Christ in Lyons.

Twenty-two years ago he moved to Lyons, where he was engaged in the trucking and transfer business.

Because of ill health he was forced to retire from his business in February, 1938. Following his retirement his condition became worse and he quietly passed away at 3:45 o'clock on the morning of April 19.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Martha Edington, two sons, Noah Edington of Bloomington, and Edgar Edington of Metcalf, Ill.; two daughters Mrs. Clarence Emery and Mrs. James Hardesty of Koleen; twelve grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Pearl McLaughlin of Linton and may other relatives and friends.
