Ellen Jenson Jessop, age 70, passed away at her home on May 9, 2002, sur-rounded by her loving children and family.
She was born August 15, 1931, in Millville, Utah, to Eslie DeVoe and Letha Olson Jenson.
Ellen lived in Cache County until 1948, when the family moved to Crescent where she graduated from Jordan High School in 1949. She married Lorin R. ("Rosy") Jessop on August 12, 1949, in Draper, Utah. They made their home in Draper until 1964, then they moved to Sandy and stayed for 32 years. In 1996, they moved to their new home in Bluffdale.
Mother's life was dedicated to serving the Lord, which she did with great honor and devotion. Her greatest love and joy in life was her family, and she in turn was loved and cherished by her children and grandchildren. She has now joined her sweetheart, eternal companion, and husband, Rosy, in heaven.
Sons: Russell, Scott, Jay, Richard, and Joseph. Daughters: Valerie, Julie, MarJean, Gloria, and Rosemarie. Preceded in death by daughter, Rosalie. Her brothers are: Burdett, Theil, Thayne, and LaMoine. Sisters: Gayle Taggart and Colleen Cooke. Also preceded in death by a sister, MarJean Hulse.
Memorial services will be held Monday, May 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the RCA Center, 1224 West 16580 South. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. Viewing also held one hour prior to Monday services. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
