Burdett Devoe Jenson, 98, passed away on October 26, 2016 of causes incident to age.

Born in beautiful Cache Valley on May 4, 1918 to Eslie Devoe Jenson and Letha Orleege Olson.

He married Anna Leatham; later divorced. He then married Jacqueline (Jackie) Henschke of Sandy on February 15, 1969 in Sandy, then on May 4, 1969 they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

He had several different jobs, his first job as a truck driver for Fuller-Topanah. He then worked construction in Logan and Las Vegas driving heavy equipment. Burdett moved back to Cache Valley, then in 1947 when his dad talked him into coming to Draper to help on the farm. They milked over 100 head of cows. After his father was killed in a car accident, his brother, Thayne, was asked to come to work on the farm, where they raised everything. "We did it all!"

After Burdett married Jackie, they purchased a motor home and enjoyed camping and fishing, Jackie could always out fish Burdett. They spent seventeen years in Yuma, Arizona during the winter months. They also spent sixteen years in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He fished Alaska five times and loved, loved the mountains. His heart was in God's country.

Burdett was an Elder in the Church and believed in the gospel with all of his heart and had a great testimony of it. His handshake and word was like a signed contract.

Survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Jackie) Jenson; children from his first marriage: Annette Fallows (Brent), James B. Jenson (Joan), Gerri Anderson (Bryant), Nancy Keddington (Terry), and Louis Hal Leatham (Patricia); sister, Colleen Cooke; brother, Thayne Jenson; twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, MarJean and Gayle; and brothers, Theil and J. LaMoine.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in the Parkway First Ward Chapel, 9894 South 2700 West, South Jordan, with a viewing prior from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Interment at the South Jordan City Cemetery.
