***
The parents of Algenette Quick Beardsley were Jonas Quick and Ann Smith Quick. Jonas and Ann Quick were my 3rd great-grandparents. I have done extensive research on this family. The name of Quick has been misspelled in several documents. The name of Jonas has been misspelled, James and John also. The following notation names the wife of George Beardsley known to the family as Algenette, also misspelled frequently.

Jonas Quick was a Wagon Boy at West Point in the War of 1812. After living a number of places, he died in Canadice, NY leaving daughters who are the wives of Alva Peabody of Springwater, James A. Cornell of Canandaigua, Craton Eldred of Michigan, Sylvester Robinson of Port Huron, George Beardsly of Honeoye, and Garrett Mott. (Ontario County Times, Canandaigua, NY, Canadice News: Aug 2, 1876). Note: One of the many stories of Canadice inhabitants written by D. Byron Waite of Canadice in his "History of Canadice, NY."

I also have documentation through a deed that Jonas Quick in his last years deeded his home to George and Algenette Beardsley to care for him until his death.
