Mrs. Grace Acuff, 72, of R. 5, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was a native of Monroe County, the daughter of Robert and Nora Matson Figg. She was a member of the Clear Creek Christian Church, and she taught in Owen and Monroe county schools and in the city schools in Edinburg, Ind., before her retirement 10 years ago.
She was the widow of William L. Acuff, who passed away in 1960.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Annice) Engelbart of St. Louis; and on sister, Mrs. Carl (Anna) Taylor of Knightsville, Ind.; two brothers, Norman Figg of Stinesville and Estelle Figg of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Day Funeral Home.
