Mrs. Edwin Knapp Died Here June 29
Mrs. Edwin Knapp, 74, died June 29 in Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born Rose Angeline Combs on October 17, 1893, at Edgewood, Iowa, and grew up there. On December 10, 1919, she was married to Edwin Knapp at Fullerton. They lived on a farm west of Fullerton for 35 years. They retired from farming and moved into Fullerton about 1955.
Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Wayne Perry of Quincy, Washington; Lyle Knapp of Fullerton and Carl Knapp of Rifle, Colorado; four daughters, Mrs. August (Evelyn) Evers of Clarks; Mrs. Laura Short of
Fayetteville, North Carolina; Mrs. Georgia Petersen of Grand Island; and Mrs. Betty D'Arcy of Orange, California; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother and two sisters, Frank Combs and Mrs. Dale Johnson of Edgewood, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Sabin of Colesburg, Iowa. Her parents, a brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held July 2 in the Beaman & Palmer Funeral Home here. Rev. Lisle Mewmaw, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Fullerton Cemetery.

Rose Angeline Combs was born on October 17, 1893, at Edgewood, Iowa, and died in Fullerton Memorial Hospital on June 29, 1968, following a long illness. She
was 74 years of age. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. John Combs.
She grew to womanhood at Edgewood, and in 1913, she was married to Harry Perry there. A son was born to this union. Mr. Perry died in 1915.
On December 10, 1919, she was married to Edwin L. Knapp at Fullerton, Nebraska. The couple made their home on a farm west of Fullerton for 35 years before retiring in 1965 and moving into Fullerton.
Mrs. Knapp was baptized in the Congregational Church. She was an active member ff the V.F.W. Auxilliary.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Wayne Perry of Quincy, Washington, Lyle Knapp of Fullerton and Carl Knapp of Rifle, Colorado; four daughters, Mrs. August (Evelyn) Evers of Clarks, Mrs. John (Betty) D'Arcy of
Orange, California, Mrs. Wilbert (Laura) Short of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Mrs. Robert (Georgia) Petersen of Grand Island; 21 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Combs of Edgewood, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Halsey Sabin of Colesburg, Iowa, and Mrs. Walter Johnson of Edgewood, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a twin brother, another brother and four sisters.
Funeral services were conducted July 2 in the Beaman & Palmer Funeral Home here by Rev. Lisle Mewmaw, pastor of the Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Clifford
Hadfield, Edmund Lesiak, Gene McIntyre, Gerry McIntyre, Vivian McNeff and Milford Swanson. Burial was in the Fullerton Cemetery.
