Lee was the son of John Alexander Nelson Jr. and Martha Vera Wilcox. He joined the Merchant Marines and served in World War II.
His first marriage was to Linda Ann Hall on March 8th, 1947 and to them 6 children were born.
He later married Vicky Perry on September 3rd, 1981.
He was proceeded in death by a son Rande Lee, a brother Val and sister Joyce McMaster.
Services were held February 8th at the Mt. Jordan LDS Chapel at 2675 E. Mt. Jordan Road (9800 S.) in Sandy, Utah. Funeral services were on February 13th at Bigfork, Montana LDS Chapel.
