Reba Angelie Mitchell was born in Adams County, Iowa on November 18, 1926 and passed away at home on January 20, 2005 with her daughter by her side. She lived her younger years on a farm in Mt. Etna, Iowa where she met and married her late husband Cleo Roberts on May 6th, 1944. In 1952 they loaded up their belongings and moved to Taft, California to be near her sister Kylene McClain. After the passing of her first husband in 1971, Reba married Joe Mitchell of Taft. She helped run one of the first Backhoe services in town, and was housewife and proud mother. Reba belonged to the Taft Emblem Club and was a member of the first United Methodist Church. Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Cleo Roberts in 1971. By her husband of 23 years, Joe Mitchell in 1994.
