GEORGE EDWARD TEACH, 64, of Pinesburg, died Wednesday evening at Washington County Hospital following an illness of several months. He was a son of the late Jacob and Emma Smith Teach, Pinesburg district.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsport and was a past president and charger member of Pinesburg Ruritan Club. He was employed at Cushwa Plant in Williamsport as a transfer car operator for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Guesford Teach; son, Austin E. Teach, Wiliamsport; daughters, Mrs. John W. Kendle, Halfway; Mrs. Donald Startzman, Pinesburg; six grandchildren; brothers, Jacob Teach and Clarence Teach, both of Pinesburg; sisters, Mrs. Moy Rook, Williamsport; Mrs. Edith Stuck, Pinesburg; half-sisters, Mrs. Edna Jackson, Pinesburg; Mrs. Jennie Guessford, Williamsport.

Services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church; burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport; arrangements were handled by the Leaf Funeral Home.
