Miss EMMA MARGARET HESS, 88, of 2208 Virginia Avenue, died at Washington County Hospital Monday. She was born at Emmitsburg and moved to Hagerstown in 1890. She was the daughter of the late John G. and Agnes Jane Baker Hess. She had lived at 238 East Antietam Street most of her life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by sister, Mrs. Mary Spangler, Hagerstown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
